I should begin my answer by saying that i have been out of town since i left class, so i am doing my YouTube research and blog via my iPhone. I apologize for not having links.

The first video that gave me some good ideas was a good example of what not to do. The video was from user ndm77, a designer named Neil McLean. I found that the music, a cheap loop run almost twenty times, was distracting and took away any power the designs might have had. He also displayed more than one design that wasn’t even close to his best work, and I think the portfolio would be better off with less designs than a few bad ones.
The second was for a design team called EZLock Designs. This one definitely had a good amount of variety in both design and colors, this shows an employer or client that no matter what the job you will find the right fit. Also, the use of a common border, though nothing special design-wise, is a good way to keep the focus on the fact that one guy/team did all of the varying designs.
